Memory Challenges and Recollection
I’ve been working on a memory hack that will serve as a reliable memory aid. There is a short list of memory training systems out there used successfully, the Journey System, Peg System, and Major System are three. Interrelating ideas makes them more memorable, and so little wonder that the three of often combined by champions of memory who participate in actual competitions.
As luck would have it, a friend spontaneously challenged me to a memory competition. This gives me reason to complete a hobby project, a windows phone app called Recollection. Now I am working to publish a beta version for Windows 8.
While the phone is handy for on the go queries and memorization, the desktop much better for the serious work of constructing peg word lists since there is much more real estate and better responsiveness. And while there are good lists ready made, I prefer the personalization of making my own. Here is my current list made with my own apps. My Windows 8 app will be available soon if the Certification gods are kind!
